01 Nov Leal Welcomes New Principal With A Donation
Leal & Trejo Managing Director Francisco Leal recently joined State Assembly Speaker Fabian Nunez at the welcoming reception for newRoosevelt High School Principal Dr. Sofia Freire.
Speaker Nunez, who hosted the event, has made education a legislative priority during his tenure in Sacramento.
The reception gave Leal, a Roosevelt High graduate in 1978, an opportunity to visit his alma mater, meet with school administrators and make a $500 contribution to the school’s general scholarship fund. Theodore Roosevelt High is located east of downtown Los Angeles and serves a working-class Latino community.
“Coming back to Roosevelt High brings back great memories for me,” Leal said. “I’m thrilled to welcome Principal Freire to the Roughrider Family and proud to make a small contribution to the school that helped prepare me for college and my career as an attorney.”
Leal, a graduate of Harvard Law School in 1986, contributes to various educational funds and sees education as a pathway for personal and professional growth and success.
